The Computer Graphics and Interactive Media Lab (CGIM) at the University of Houston was founded in December 2006. Its focused research directions include 3D computer graphics, computer animation, virtual human modeling and animation, haptic rendering, human computer interaction, and medical visualization. The UH CGIM Lab is equipped with a state-of-the-art motion capture system. In addition, in collaboration with other labs in the University of Houston, Rice University, Baylor College of Medicine, the Methodist Hospital, and the Methodist Hospital Research Institute, we are currently conducting a number of multi-institution interdisciplinary research projects.
